      The Assembly Appropriations Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 2898.

      Assembly Bill No. 2898 appropriates $21,610,000 from the “1995 New Jersey Green Acres Fund,” established pursuant to section 22 of the “Green Acres, Farmland and Historic Preservation, and Blue Acres Bond Act of 1995,” P.L.1995, c.204, for the development of State park (i.e., Liberty State Park, Palisades Interstate Park, and the Hackensack Meadowlands) and wildlife management area lands by the State for recreation and conservation purposes. This sum would include administrative costs. The projects are listed in the legislation.

      As reported, this bill is identical to Senate Bill No. 2022.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

      This bill makes an appropriation of $21,6l0,000 from the 1995 New Jersey Green Acres Fund for recreation and conservation purposes at State park and wildlife management area lands throughout the State.
