ASSEMBLY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION No. 21

      The Assembly Senior Issues, Tourism and Gaming Committee reports favorably Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 21.

      This concurrent resolution proposes a constitutional amendment authorizing the enactment of an increase from $250 to $500 in the annual deduction from property taxes assessed against dwellings owned by certain citizens, age 65 years or older, or permanently and totally disabled residents. The amendment also authorizes an increase from $10,000 to $15,000 in the annual income limitation for eligibility to receive the annual property tax deduction.

      This concurrent resolution was prefiled for introduction in the 1996 session pending technical review. As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
