      The Assembly Agriculture and Waste Management Committee favorably reports Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 60 with committee amendments.

      Assembly Concurrent Resolution No. 60 memorializes the United States Department of Energy, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, and the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission to take every expedient action, in conjunction with State officials, to continue to effectuate the permanent removal of all thorium-contaminated soil from the Maywood Interim Storage Site and other sites in Maywood, Rochelle Park, and Lodi, New Jersey.

      Assembly committee amendments make several changes to update the status of the contaminated sites.
