ASSEMBLY COMMERCE AND MILITARY AND VETERANS' AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
STATEMENT TO
ASSEMBLY RESOLUTION No. 155
STATE OF NEW JERSEY
DATED: JUNE 9, 1997
The Assembly Commerce and Military and Veterans' Affairs Committee reports favorably Assembly Resolution No. 155.
This Assembly Resolution urges Congress and the President to terminate the services of Lordship Industries, Inc. of Hauppauge, New York as the nation's primary manufacturer of United States Military Medals. Lordship Industries has admitted to manufacturing and selling 300 unauthorized copies of the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest combat decoration. These actions have undermined the trust placed in this company by the United States and diminished the honor conferred upon the rightful recipients of military medals.
