An Act concerning the construction of a fruit packing facility by the Delaware River and Bay Authority.

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. The Delaware River and Bay Authority, in consultation with Jersey Fruit Packing Cooperative, Inc., is authorized to plan, finance, develop, construct, purchase, lease, maintain, operate, improve and otherwise effectuate a project, located in Upper Deerfield Township, Cumberland County, consisting of a fruit packing facility and other buildings, structures, facilities, properties and appurtenances related thereto, or incidental to, necessary for, or complementary to, the project, which includes the purchase of the property at an estimated cost of $362,000; the construction of the fruit packing and cold storage/freezer building at an estimated cost of $1,507,000; the purchase, delivery and installation of the fruit packing machinery and cold storage/freezer equipment at an estimated cost of $2,074,000; and miscellaneous improvements to the facility at an estimated cost of $250,000; all of which shall be considered a project of the authority as defined pursuant to P.L.1961, c.66 (C.32:11E-1 et seq.).

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

 

Authorizes Delaware River and Bay Authority to construct a fruit packing facility in New Jersey.
