An Act concerning certain license plates and supplementing chapter 3 of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes.

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. a. The lessee in a motor vehicle leasing agreement or the owner of a motor vehicle who obtains 1a base set of1 personalized, courtesy or special license plates with special identifying marks may obtain and use a 1[duplicate set of those license plates] second set in a series for use1 upon another motor vehicle if it is owned or leased by that person.

    b. The fees for the 1[additional license plates] second set in a series1shall be prescribed by the director.

    c. The director may promulgate rules and regulations to effectuate the purposes of this act.

 

    2. This act shall take effect on the first day of the sixth month following enactment.

 

 

 

Allows duplicate personalized license plates on owned and leased vehicles.
