ADOPTED: FEBRUARY 5, 1996

      S452 would eliminate the statute of limitations for the crime of sexual assault, allowing a prosecution to be commenced at any time. These amendments would clarify that the bill would apply prospectively only; the elimination of the statute of limitations would apply to any sexual assault committed on or after the effective date of the bill.
