A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1995 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June 30, 1995 (P.L.1995, c.164).

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.1995, c.164, there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

 

GRANTS-IN-AID

54 DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES

70 Government Direction, Management and Control

76 Management and Administration

7500 Division of Management and Budget - Grants -In - Aid

 

    87-7500 Research, Policy and Planning.................$500,000

    Grants:

            Office of Prevention of Mental Retardation

                        and Developmental Disabilities................($500,000)

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill appropriates $500,000 to the Department of Human Services for various lead programs and activities to be provided through the Office for Prevention of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities' Interagency Task Force on the Prevention of Lead Poisoning. These funds supplement the $200,000 appropriated to the Department of Health in P.L.1995, c.164 for a Statewide lead poisoning education initiative.

 

Supplemental appropriation of $500,000 to DHS for various lead programs.
