An Act concerning executive orders and supplementing chapter 15 of Title 52 of the Revised Statutes.

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. The Governor, upon issuing an executive order, shall not later than the next business day thereafter cause a copy of the order to be transmitted to each member of the Legislature at the address of the office maintained by the member in the member's legislative district.

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill provides that, upon issuing an executive order, the Governor shall not later than the next business day thereafter transmit a copy of the order to each member of the Legislature at the member's district office.

 

 

                             

Requires Governor to transmit copy of any executive order to each member of the Legislature within one business day of issuance.
