A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1996 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June 30, 1995 (P.L.1995 c.164).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.1995, c.164, there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill would appropriate $5,000,000 to the Department of Environmental Protection as State aid to the township of Little Falls in Passaic County for the Beattie's dam replacement project.
The proposed project will involve the removal of Beattie's dam on the Passaic river as well as other associated projects, including the replacement of the dam with flood gates to control the rise and fall of water, the removal of a rock ledge upstream from the dam and the dredging of the immediate area.
Appropriates $5,000,000 to DEP for State aid to finance Beattie's dam projects.
