An Act concerning the payment of salaries to State and political subdivision officers and employees during a state of emergency declared by the Governor and supplementing Title 52 of the Revised Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. Any person who is an officer or employee of the State or any county, municipality, school district or other political subdivision thereof, shall be paid for each day that the person is unable to attend work because of a state of emergency declared by the Governor and shall not be required to use any leave time to receive such compensation.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill provides that any person who is an officer or employee of the State or any county, municipality, school district or other political subdivision thereof, shall be paid for each day that the person is unable to attend work because of a state of emergency declared by the Governor and shall not be required to use any leave time to receive such compensation.
Provides that State and political subdivision officers and employees shall be paid if unable to attend work because of a state of emergency declared by the Governor.
