A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1996 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June 30, 1995 (P.L.1995, c.164).

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.1995, c.164, there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

 

                                     GRANTS-IN-AID

    42 DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

40 Community Development and Environmental Management

Recreational Resource Management

 

 

12-4875 Parks Management.......................................$90,000

Grants:

      American Labor Museum,

      Botto House.....................................($90,000)

 

    The amount appropriated herein shall only be available for expenses of maintenance and capital repairs and improvements with a fixed life of three years or more.

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill makes a grant of $90,000 to the Botto House American Labor Museum, which is a national landmark located in Haledon, Passaic County. The musuem is owned and operated by a non-profit organization and is seeking State support to help meet its operational and maintenance expenses. The State awarded a similar grant to Botto House in 1989.

                             

 

Makes a grant of $90,000 to the Botto House American Labor Museum.
