ASSEMBLY LABOR COMMITTEE
STATEMENT TO
[First Reprint]
SENATE, No. 793
STATE OF NEW JERSEY
DATED: MAY 12, 1997
The Assembly Labor Committee reports favorably, and with amendments, Senate Bill No. 793 (1R).
This amendment provides a Grants-in-Aid appropriation of $90,000 to the Department of Labor for Botto House American Labor Museum, which is a national landmark located in Haledon, Passaic County. The museum is owned and operated by a non-profit organization and is seeking State support to help meet its operational and maintenance expenses.
The committee amendments provide that the appropriation will be made for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1998, instead of the fiscal year ending June 30, 1996. As amended, the bill is identical to Assembly Bill No. 326 (1R), reported by the committee at the same time.
