      The Senate Community Affairs Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 1026.

      This bill would permit a board of freeholders to appoint a county counsel to a term of three, four or five years, as determined by the board at the time of the counsel's appointment. Under current law, the term of office of a county counsel is limited to three years.
