SENATE, No. 1033

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

      The Senate Education Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 1033. 

      This bill appropriates $1,000,000 to Ramapo College of New Jersey in recognition of the college's 25th anniversary as the State's public liberal arts college. The bill recognizes that Ramapo College has remained true to its founding mission, but needs additional State assistance to attain higher levels of achievement in fulfillment of that mission. An appropriation of $1,000,000 will allow the college to add faculty and programs which will assist in attracting and providing for the retention of New Jersey students.
