      The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 1033 of 1996 with amendments.

      Senate Bill No. 1033, as amended, appropriates from the General Fund $500,000 to Ramapo College of New Jersey in recognition of the college's 25th anniversary. The bill requires the college to use the funds in recognition of its 25th anniversary and in tribute to former Governor William T. Cahill, who was instrumental in the founding of the college.

 

COMMITTEE AMENDMENTS

      The committee amended the bill to reduce the amount appropriated from $1 million to $500,000 and to require that the money be used in recognition of the college's 25th anniversary and in tribute to former Governor William T. Cahill, who was instrumental in the founding of the college.

 

FISCAL IMPACT

      This bill appropriates from the General Fund $500,000 to Ramapo College of New Jersey in recognition of the college's 25th anniversary.
