An Act concerning joint and several liability and amending P.L.1995, c.140.

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

    1. Section 3 of P.L.1995, c.140 is amended to read as follows:

    3. This act shall take effect immediately ², shall apply to medical malpractice causes of action filed on or after June 29, 1995,² and shall apply to causes of action [filed] ¹[which accrue] ², other than medical malpractice causes of action,² filed¹ on or after the ¹90th day following ²[the¹ effective date of this act] June 29, 1995².

    2. This act shall take effect immediately ¹[and],¹ shall be retroactive to June 29, 1995 ¹and shall only apply to pending actions in which no final judgment has been rendered¹.
