An Act concerning participation in interscholastic athletic events and supplementing chapter 36 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes.

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. No student shall be eligible to compete in a regularly scheduled interscholastic athletic event if the student has a grade point average of less than 2.00 ("C") during the grading period preceding the event.

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill prohibits a student from competing in a regularly scheduled interscholastic athletic event if the student has a grade point average of less than 2.00 ("C").
