An Act concerning collective negotiations in school districts and supplementing chapter 27 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes.

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

    1. Whenever a board of education begins collective negotiations with an employee organization for a new contract, the terms of the contract which the board is offering and the terms of the contract which the employee organization is offering shall be publicly disclosed.

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

STATEMENT

    This bill provides that whenever a board of education begins collective negotiations with an employee organization for a new contract, the terms of the contract which the board is offering and the terms of the contract which the employee organization is offering must be publicly disclosed.

Requires school board and employee organization contract terms to be publicly disclosed at outset of collective negotiations.
