An Act concerning certain highway access and supplementing P.L.1989, c.32. (C.27:7-89 et seq.).

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the Commissioner of Transportation shall approve an application for dual, unrestricted access to commercial property along a limited access highway under its jurisdiction, in such cases where the property consists of more than one lot, each with current or previous unrestricted access, and where other properties located along the same highway and within the same or adjacent municipalities enjoy dual, unrestricted access at the time of the application.

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill would require the Commissioner of Transportation to approve an application for dual, unrestricted access to commercial property along a limited access highway under its jurisdiction, in such cases where the property consists of more than one lot, each with current or previous unrestricted access, and where other properties located along the same highway and within the same or adjacent municipalities currently enjoy dual, unrestricted access.
