      The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No.1501 with amendments.

      Senate Bill No.1501 makes a supplemental appropriation for Fiscal Year 1997 of $1,500,000 for aid to independent colleges and universities and $500,000 for aid to county colleges.

COMMITTEE AMENDMENTS

      The committee amended the bill to add $500,000 as a supplemental appropriation for aid to county colleges.

FISCAL IMPACT

      This bill makes a supplemental appropriation for Fiscal Year 1997 of $1.5 million for aid to independent colleges and universities and $500,000 for aid to county colleges.
