SENATE, No. 1649

with Assembly Floor Amendments

(Proposed By Assemblyman CORODEMUS)

ADOPTED: DECEMBER 18, 1997

These amendments provide that the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee and the General Assembly Appropriations Committee would also review and report the shore protection project appropriation bills described in this bill. The bill currently provides that only the Senate Economic Growth, Agriculture and Tourism Committee and the General Assembly Environment, Science and Technology Committee would have that responsibility. The amendments also provide that use of the priority system to establish a shore protection project priority list for projects designated to receive funding would commence in Fiscal Year 1999 rather than Fiscal Year 1998.
