An Act appropriating money for the upgrade, replacement, and closure of underground storage tanks.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. There is appropriated from the special account in the General Fund created pursuant to Article VIII, Section II, paragraph 6 of the New Jersey Constitution, to the Township of Eastampton the sum of $200,000. The money appropriated shall be in the form of a grant and may be used for the upgrade, replacement, or closure of any underground storage tank, as defined pursuant to section 2 of P.L.1983, c.102 (C.58:10A-23), that is owned by the township.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill would appropriate $200,000 to Eastampton Township as a grant for the upgrade, replacement, or closure of any underground storage tank owned by the township. The money would be appropriated from the monies specifically dedicated for this purpose pursuant to the constitutional amendment approved by the voters in November 1996.
