An Act appropriating $4,000,000 from the "Green Acres, Farmland and Historic Preservation, and Blue Acres Bond Act of 1995,"P.L.1995, c.204, for the acquisition of lands by the State for waterfront access.

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. There is appropriated to the Department of Environmental Protection from the "1995 New Jersey Green Acres Fund," established pursuant to section 22 of the "Green Acres, Farmland and Historic Preservation, and Blue Acres Bond Act of 1995," P.L.1995, c.204, the sum of $4,000,000 for the acquisition of lands by the State for recreation and conservation purposes. This sum shall include administrative costs and shall be allocated for the acquisition of lands to provide water access sites throughout the State. The sites to be acquired shall be selected by the Commissioner of Environmental Protection based upon criteria established by the commissioner. The appropriation of money pursuant to this section is subject to the provisions of P.L.1995, c.204.

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    This bill appropriates $4 million to the Department of Environmental Protection to acquire property throughout the State in order to provide water access sites. The money is being appropriated from the "Green Acres, Farmland and Historic Preservation, and Blue Acres Bond Act of 1995,"P.L.1995, c.204.
