An Act concerning jointure commissions and supplementing chapter 46 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes.

 

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1. Any jointure commission established pursuant to N.J.S. 18A:46-25 may, in accordance with rules and regulations of the State board, provide educational programs and services to non-handicapped pupils.

 

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

    Currently, two or more boards of education may establish a jointure commission in a cooperative effort to provide educational services and training to handicapped pupils. This bill would also permit a jointure commission to provide educational services to non-handicapped pupils.
