      The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 2021.

      Senate Bill No. 2021 appropriates $28,390,000 from the "1995 New Jersey Green Acres Fund," established pursuant to section 22 of the "Green Acres, Farmland and Historic Preservation, and Blue Acres Bond Act of 1995," P.L.1995, c.204, for the development of lands in various state parks and forests by the State for recreation and conservation purposes. This sum would include administrative costs.

      The bill contains a list of approved projects for State park and forest renovation, rehabilitation and development. These projects are located in Monmouth, Morris, Sussex, Warren, Burlington, Ocean, Cape May, Cumberland, Middlesex, Mercer, Hunterdon, Somerset, Salem, Essex, Passaic, Bergen, Camden, Atlantic Counties. The list of projects includes $1 million for statewide environmental, health and life safety work and $200,000 for statewide demolition.

      As reported, this bill is identical to Assembly Bill No. 2897 (Collins/Stuhltrager).

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

       This bill appropriates $28,390,000 to the Department of Environmental Protection from the "1995 New Jersey Green Acres Fund," established pursuant to section 22 of the "Green Acres, Farmland and Historic Preservation, and Blue Acres Bond Act of 1995," P.L.1995, c.204, for the development of lands in various state parks and forests by the State for recreation and conservation purposes.
