An Act concerning landscape irrigation contractors and supplementing P.L.1991, c.27.

    Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

    1. During the first 360 days after the effective date of this act, the board shall issue to any individual upon application a landscape irrigation contractor certificate if that individual has engaged in the business of landscape irrigation contracting for three of the last five years prior to January 1, 1997.

    2. This act shall take effect immediately.

STATEMENT

    This bill provides for the "grandfathering" of any individual applying to the Landscape Irrigation Contractors Examining Board for a landscape irrigation contractor certificate within 360 days after the effective date of this act if that individual has engaged in the business of landscape irrigation contracting for three of the last five years prior to January 1, 1997.

Establishes grandfathering provision for landscape irrigation contractors.
