ASSEMBLY LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE

STATEMENT TO

SENATE, No. 2145

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

DATED: DECEMBER 11, 1997

The Assembly Local Government Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 2145.

Senate Bill No. 2145 modifies the boundaries of the Hoboken South Waterfront Development Project, a waterfront development project of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, located in Hoboken City, Hudson County, to include property owned by Stevens Institute of Technology on which a proposed parking facility will be built, co-owned, and operated by a joint venture of Stevens and Hoboken.

This bill would take effect upon the enactment of a similar or substantially similar statute in the State of New York.

Senate Bill No. 2145 is identical to Assembly Bill No. 3110, also reported by the committee on December 11, 1997.
