An Act concerning the suspension of school students and supplementing chapter 37 of Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. The absence of a student from school that is the result of an out-of-school suspension for disciplinary reasons shall be counted as an unexcused absence.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill requires the absence of a student from school that is the result of an out-of-school suspension for disciplinary reasons to be counted as an unexcused absence.
Requires absence from school resulting from suspension to be counted as unexcused absence.
