A Supplement to "An Act making appropriations for the support of the State Government and the several public purposes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1998 and regulating the disbursement thereof," approved June , 1997 (P.L.1997, c. ).
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L.1997, c. , there is appropriated out of the General Fund the following sum for the purpose specified:

2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill would appropriate an additional $5 million from the General Fund to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for expanded shore protection funding in Fiscal Year 1998. The FY 1998 appropriations bill (now before the Legislature as Senate No. 2500 and Assembly No. 3000) would provide the $15 million that is annually credited to the Shore Protection Fund from a portion of the realty transfer tax, pursuant to section 1 of P.L. 1992, c.148 (C.13:19-16.1), and that is required to be appropriated annually for shore protection projects.
Provides supplemental appropriation of $5 million for shore protection projects in FY 1998.
