An Act appropriating 1[$2.5]$3.81 million from the "1996 Dredging and Containment Facility Fund," established pursuant to section 18 of the "Port of New Jersey Revitalization, Dredging, Environmental Cleanup, Lake Restoration, and Delaware Bay Area Economic Development Bond Act of 1996," P.L.1996, c.70, for the dredging of various navigation channels not located in the port region.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. There is appropriated to the Department of Environmental Protection from the "1996 Dredging and Containment Facility Fund," established pursuant to section 18 of the "Port of New Jersey Revitalization, Dredging, Environmental Cleanup, Lake Restoration, and Delaware Bay Area Economic Development Bond Act of 1996," P.L.1996, c.70, the sum of 1[$2.5] $3.81 million for the cost of dredging the following navigation channels not located in the port region, in accordance with the provisions of section 7 of the "Port of New Jersey Revitalization, Dredging, Environmental Cleanup, Lake Restoration, and Delaware Bay Area Economic Development Bond Act of 1996," P.L.1996, c.70 1 , and for the cost of any necessary chemical testing and boring in connection with the dredging1:

1Any amount of the monies appropriated pursuant to this section which is not expended for the projects set forth in this section shall be returned by the department for deposit into the "1996 Dredging and Containment Facility Fund," established pursuant to section 18 of the "Port of New Jersey Revitalization, Dredging, Environmental Cleanup, Lake Restoration, and Delaware Bay Area Economic Development Bond Act of 1996." 1
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
Appropriates $3.8 million from 1996 Dredging Bond Act for various navigation dredging projects.
