The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee reports favorably Senate Bill No. 2299.
Senate Bill No. 2299 appropriates up to $400,000 in Old Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance payments received by persons residing at State developmental centers for use in the Foster Grandparents and Senior Companion programs. According to the Department of Human Services, the use of these funds for these purposes is permitted by the federal government.
