SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION No. 99

 

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

 

INTRODUCED OCTOBER 28, 1996

A Concurrent Resolution commemorating the one hundred fiftieth anniversary of Pemberton Township.

 

Whereas, The Township of Pemberton and all of its residents are being honored as they celebrate the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of their municipality's establishment as a new township in the county of Burlington by an act enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey on March 2, 1846; and

Whereas, Pemberton Township has, since its earliest days, been recognized for its desirable location and for its reputation as an excellent community for family living; and

Whereas, Through the fifteen decades of its existence and through many seasons of change, Pemberton Township has been effectively guided by civic-minded men and women who have inspired its dedicated residents to participate in and to support their community; and

Whereas, It is altogether fitting and proper for the members of the General Assembly and the Senate to recognize and to salute the residents of Pemberton Township as they celebrate the township's one hundred and fifty years of rich history and proud heritage; now, therefore,

 

    Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of New Jersey (the General Assembly concurring):

 

    1. That the General Assembly and the Senate of the State of New Jersey hereby honor Pemberton Township upon the auspicious occasion of its one hundred and fiftieth anniversary and extend best wishes for the township's continued success and prosperity in the decades to come.

 

    2. A duly authenticated copy of this resolution, signed by the Speaker of the General Assembly and attested by the Clerk, and signed by the President of the Senate and attested by the Secretary, be transmitted to the Township of Pemberton.
