SENATE WOMEN'S ISSUES, CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES COMMITTEE
STATEMENT TO
SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION No. 15
STATE OF NEW JERSEY
DATED: MARCH 14, 1996
The Senate Women's Issues, Children and Family Services Committee favorably reports Senate Joint Resolution No. 15.
This joint resolution permanently establishes May 25 as "Children's Memorial Day." The purpose of this day is to allow parents, relatives and friends of children who have died in this State to memorialize them and to remember that although these children did not live long enough to make a lasting contribution to society as a whole, their lives did make a difference to those who knew them.
