STATEMENT TO

SENATE RESOLUTION No. 13

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

DATED: JUNE 6, 1996

      The Senate Transportation Committee favorably reports Senate Resolution No. 13.

      This resolution memorializes the Department of Transportation to conduct a study to determine whether noise barriers should be constructed along the portion of State Route 208 which runs through the Borough of Hawthorne in Passaic County. Residents of that area believe that a study will show that the level of noise in that area is unacceptable because of a large volume of automobile, bus and truck traffic.
