SENATE RESOLUTION No. 62

 

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

 

INTRODUCED SEPTEMBER 19, 1996

 

 

By Senators CIESLA, PALAIA, Kyrillos, Singer and Bennett

 

 

A Senate Resolution honoring the memory of New Jersey State Police Trooper Francis J. Bellaran and extending condolences to his family.

 

Whereas, New Jersey State Police Trooper Francis J. Bellaran of Manasquan tragically died as a result of injuries suffered in the line of duty, becoming the 58th state trooper to die in the line of duty in the 75-year history of the State Police; and

Whereas, Trooper Francis J. Bellaran displayed great enthusiasm in completing his assignments while enhancing his proficiency in all areas of police enforcement; and

Whereas, Trooper Francis J. Bellaran received a Certificate of Commendation for quick and decisive action which lead to the saving the life of another human being; and

Whereas, It is our fervent hope that the memory and heroic actions of Trooper Bellaran will live on despite this tragedy; now, therefore,

 

    Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of New Jersey:

 

    1.    This House honors the memory of New Jersey State Police Trooper Francis J. Bellaran of Manasquan and extends condolences to his family.

 

    2.    Duly authenticated copies of this resolution, signed by the President of the Senate and attested to by the Secretary thereof, shall be transmitted to the Bellaran family.
