ASSEMBLY, No. 4706

with Senate Floor Amendments

(Proposed by Senator SINGLETON)

ADOPTED: DECEMBER 20, 2021

This amendment changes the requirement for purchase by the division of historical markers, allowing for already existing, suitable historical markers to remain in place and eliminating the need for a second historical marker specific to the New Jersey Black Heritage Trail.

The amendment also changes the appointing authority for four members of the New Jersey Black Cultural and Heritage Commission.  These appointments will be made by the Governor with one each selected at the recommendation of the Senate President and Minority Leader and the Speaker and Minority Leader of the General Assembly.
