      The Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee reports favorably and with committee amendments Assembly Bill No. 5193.

      As amended and reported, this bill requires the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to provide reasonable accommodation to a person with a disability when the person takes the written knowledge examination for a driver’s license or permit and the knowledge test for a commercial driver license, including any commercial driver license endorsement.

COMMITTEE AMENDMENTS

      The committee amended the bill to update underlying statutory language to reflect a recent enactment.
