SYNOPSIS
Creates resume bank for certain persons with disabilities.

An Act concerning persons with disabilities and supplementing Title 30 of the Revised Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. a. As used in this section:
“Resume bank” means the Resume Bank for Individuals with a Disability established pursuant to this section.
b. The Governor shall establish and maintain a voluntary Resume Bank for Individuals with a Disability who wish to be appointed to a State board or commission and shall maintain an Internet webpage that lists available employment positions within State boards and commissions.
c. The resume bank shall be accessible to the executive branch and the Legislature. The resume bank shall contain features permitting individuals with a disability to upload or submit their resume to the bank.
d. The resume bank shall contain the following information:
(1) the resumes of individuals with disabilities who wish to be appointed to a State board or commission;
(2) the name, address, and telephone number of the individual with a disability;
(3) any pertinent information related to the individual’s disability; and
(4) any pertinent information as to particular State boards and commissions that are of interest to the individual with a disability.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill creates a resume bank for certain persons with disabilities.
Under the bill, the Governor is to establish and maintain a voluntary Resume Bank for Individuals with a Disability (resume bank) who wish to be appointed to a State board or commission and maintain an Internet webpage that lists available employment positions within State boards and commissions.
The bill provides that the resume bank is to be accessible to the executive branch and the Legislature. The resume bank is to contain features permitting individuals with a disability to upload or submit their resume to the bank.
Under the bill, the resume bank is to contain the following information:
(1) the resumes of individuals with disabilities who wish to be appointed to a State board or commission;
(2) the name, address, and telephone number of the individual with a disability;
(3) any pertinent information related to the individual’s disability; and
(4) any pertinent information as to particular State boards and commissions that are of interest to the individual with a disability.
